Online – Neutrino physics

I will discuss a brief history of the neutrinos, working towards the discovery of neutrino oscillations and nonzero neutrino masses. That will be followed by a discussion of what neutrino masses mean for our understanding of fundamental particle physics and what are some of the current outstanding questions. (and how we hope to learn the answers!)

Pré-requisitos

• Quantum mechanics and special relativity. Some understanding of particle physics and quantum field theory would also come in handy
